ISRO's Commercial Arm NSIL Announces First Demand-Driven Satellite Mission

ISRO's commercial arm, NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) on Friday declared its first "request driven" correspondence satellite mission as a component of Space changes reported by the Government in June last year.

onal satellite missions on an interest driven model, wherein it has the obligation to construct, dispatch, possess and work the satellite and offer types of assistance to its serious client. 



As a feature of this drive, NSIL, a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), under the Department of Space (DOS), is presently embraced its "first interest driven 


correspondence satellite mission named GSAT-24, a four-ton class Ku-band satellite. 


NSIL is getting this satellite worked by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and will dispatch it utilizing Ariane-5 launcher worked by Arianespace. 


"The whole satellite limit on-board GSAT-24 will be rented to its serious client M/s Tata Sky for meeting their DTH application needs," a NSIL articulation said.
